Framed Lotus and Flourish Stencil Art by Louise Healy

  1. Tape the stencil to a 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" square of white cardstock
  2. Use a palette knife and paste spreader to apply Regular Embossing Paste, remove and clean the stencil and let the paste dry
  3. Place the clean, dry stencil back over the dry paste and use small stencil brushes to apply inks
  4. Remove the stencil and sprinkle with clear embossing powder, tap off all excess powder and heat set
  5. Return the stencil to the design and apply a second coat of ink on top of the first, remove stencil, and sprinkle with embossing powder again and heat set
  6. On the mat that came with the frame (3-1/2" x 3-1/2" opening) use the  DWLJ825 - Jungle leaves all around the edge using a 1/2" brush and Brilliance Thyme ink, keep it on the light side
  7. Tape the DWLJ896 - Flourish in one corner with removable tape
  8. Use a palette knife and paste spreader to apply Matte Black Embossing Paste, remove stencil, let paste dry
  9. Trim the Lotus flower to 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" and adhere to a 5" x 5" square of black cardstock
  10. When the Flourish is dry, center the matted flower in the opening of the mat, then into the frame.
