Easter Cross Metal Stencil by Laura Drahozal

  1. Cut the base 8 1/2" by 5 1/2" and fold in half on the side.
  2. Cut the Double Sided Mounting Paper to fit the Easter Cross Stencil.
  3. Rub the bar of soap on the back of the Easter Cross Stencil.  You should have a light film of soap all across the back of the stencil when you are finished.
  4. Use the brush to gently remove the soap "crumbles" off the back of the stencil.
  5. Remove the backing from one side of the mounting paper, revealing the adhesive.
  6. Place the stencil, soap side down, on the adhesive side of the paper.
  7. Cut a piece of the foil and press it with your finger, dull side down, firmly into the wells of the stencil.
  8. Pull the clear foil backing off of the adhesive, leaving only the gold.
  9. Continue to fill in the exposed areas with the foil, using the stencil tool instead of your finger on the edges and in any smaller areas.
  10. When the Easter Cross appears to be completely full of gold, pour the Micro Gold Glitter into the wells, right over all of the foil.
  11. Brush out any excess glitter.
  12. Place the project upside down on a hard, flat surface.
  13. Peel a corner of the mounting paper from the stencil.
  14. Using this corner, slowly remove all of the mounting paper from the Easter Cross Stencil, while leaving the stencil flat.
  15. Pour the White Pearl Glitter over the top of the project, brushing off the excess.
  16. Remove the backing from the project and attach it to purple card stock.
  17. Trim card stock and assemble, using the May Arts ribbon across the bottom.
