Butterfly Field Metal Stencil by Louise Healy

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Fold a 6" x 9 1/2" piece of Lt. Purple cardstock in half to form an A6 card
  2. Tape the stencil to a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Lt. Purple cardstock with removable tape
  3. Use a 1/2" stencil brush to apply the purple ink through the stencil, apply a fairly dark coat, remove and clean the stencil
  4. Place the clean, dry stencil back over the stenciled image, move the stencil up and to the right about 1/16", tape in place with removable tape
  5. Use a palette knife and paste spreader to apply a coat of Regular embossing paste over the image, remove stencil and place in water for cleaning, immediately sprinkle the wet paste with Crystal Glitter, tap off extra, let paste dry
  6. Die cut the lattice frame from Purple cardstock and a matching rectangle layer from Lt. Purple cardstock
  7. Stamp the happy birthday from the Fresh Peony set on the rectangle using VersaMark, sprinkle with the white embossing powder, tap off extra powder, heat set, let cool, adhere to the die cut mat
  8. When the paste is dry, adhere the Butterfly Field to a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" purple mat
  9. Thread a piece of purple crepe ribbon through the two sides of the die cut mat, put foam tape on the back of the mat, adhere in place on the Butterfly Field layer, wrap the ribbon ends around to the back and tape in place
  10. ​Adhere the Butterfly Field layer to the card front
